Kinged at a earlyish age, King Zaundrin has embraced the role of being the main male of the pride and has proved to be even greater then the pride's first king.

Despite his very brutal appearance, Zaundrin is actually quite a humble and soft lion but do not mistake this for weakness as the male is quite protective over his pride and surprisingly over local villages animal stock. He has chased many lions wanting to hunt the villager's cattle away and the villagers have taken notice of this. They have started to call him "The Protector". They have also treated his pride kindly, with a sort of mutual respect on both sides. At one point in his life, Zaundrin was severely injured and allowed himself to be taken in by the villagers. He stayed there for several months while the village nursed him back to health. During his stay, they crafted a specially designed collar for him to wear that would not pose much of an issue to him as symbol of their respect and his role. He has worn this collar since and wears it proudly.

Like most of the pride, he too follows the Egyptian Gods, with his pride being patroned by Anubis himself. He and the god often communicate through dreams, as have any other leaders in the pride before him. Zaundrin is very loyal to his and his pride's patron and cannot imagine what he would do without them.

The most often amusing thing you will find about Zaundrin is the fact of his little mouse companion who usually will hide in his mane or pop out on his head at random times. Hes tried many times to get rid of it, but it has kept coming back. Eventually, he decided to keep the little friend and gave him the Zuru.
