Villanelle possesses a cold brutality under her innocent-looking exterior. She has a lost look in her eye that is both direct and also chilling. She's totally focused yet almost entirely inaccessible. She can be adorable, playful, funny, frightening, warm, chilling, vulnerable, impenetrable…anything you want her to be. Contentedly living outside any moral code, Villanelle kills with flair, recklessness and absolutely no conscience. She loves having the position of power. That’s the only thing that keeps her from killing her own pride all at once.
She was supposed to be train to become huntress, like every other female cub. One night three adolescent male lions attacked Rīdā’s pride or rather … they were trying to. No one knows exactly what happened but one cub was awake that night. Only that … attackers didn’t succeed because of her. Just one little baby girl with blood on her claws. In that moment… despite having few strong and fully capable grown males as protectors – Rīdā decided to train little Villanelle to also become one. She learned to fight very well, mostly because of highly-skilled Konstantin. After few years she was able to kill practically any lion. At the beginning she was still learning how to hunt with other cubs, but she quickly became bored and irritated with clumsiness of her sibilling, so she refused to train with them. Lionesses weren’t happy about that. But they knew her mind can’t be change once she decides something. They put Villanelle to the test – she was supposed to go hunting all alone and came back with something, anything. They were expecting a dik dik. She came back with grown Rihno. From that moment she was free to do basically anything she wanted to. And she wanted to train and have nice things. Just that for now. In the long run this treatment has done her more harm then good.
It’s a good moment to mention that she was born as Oksana. Villanelle is the name she chose for herself.
Oksana-Villanelle was different from the beginning. Killing other lions on patrols was nothing for her. It didn’t go unnoticed. Konstantin, her main trainer, saw huge potential in his young prodigy and decided to make a perfect assassin out of her. Was it a wise choice? Villanelle definitely outgrown his expectations. Best assassin anyone could imagine and also – the queen. Villanelle rules wisely but if you betray her – she’ll kill you without mercy.

Raised like a child prodigy, which she was, Villanelle has never met anyone who would be capable of challanging her. It wasn't until she met ✧ Sara ✧ that she truly appreciate another being. Because of Sara, Villanelle was able to truly became friends with ♣ Cristina ♣. Sara, being a refermed assasin herself, tought Villanelle how to love. How relationships should work. That's why Aurora was able to win Villanelle's heart.

Because Villanelle befriended a tigon Lie to Me, as charming person she is, Villanelle was able to convince her into changing her appearance whenever she pleases. Hybrids posses such powers but rarely make use of them for someone else's benefit. I guess it's hard to deny Villanelle's requests. Since then Villanelle & Randy Giles made a pact stating that each hybrid is welcome to stay in their prides if they wish to do so. Every ruler after that came after that (Crafted from The Blue Soap, T.A.H.I.T.I., Daydream Believer & Lady Morgana) honored that pact. And it really was worth it. There are 25 hybrids right now in these lands. Lie to Me is gentle soul and she agreed to change Villanelle's appearence but not to cross certain lines that Nature made. Like granting immortality to lion that wasn't born to have such faith. Luckily for Villanelle, there are some hybrids that have mindsets similar to Villanelle's. First was Walk Through the Fire 🎼. She became Villanelle's first hybrid partner in crime. And she did grant her gift of immortality. Then ☠️ Killed by Death ☠️ joined them in their twisted friendship. Weird thing is that both of them were not born in this pride, like most of hybrids that live here.
