A mysterious lion. How he came to rule his pride or settle his territory is mostly unknown. It is known, however, that he is truly a kind king. Despite his blindness, he somehow seems to know all of his lionesses, sub-males and cubs quite personally. He appears to know where all of his pride is, at all times. He understands his land like the back of his large, peace-driven paw. His name and looks are exactly the opposite from his true personality, and he's known to help prey and enemy prides if they're ever injured or sick. He collects bones, skulls, teeth, claws and feathers of creatures long fallen. Creatures, or rather friends, that he once knew or recognized. He grieves whenever he finds prey killed and left to rot, and has his lionesses only take what they need to survive. He is bonded with a melanistic caracal, named Night Jumper. They share a den, and the caracal comes and goes as it pleases. When asked or threatened, Grimme will become protective, claiming he saved Night Jumper, who was a kit at the time, when he was but a cub. He then raised her, taught her to hunt as he learned, and kept her safe and warm. Night Jumper will sometimes bring small prey items to the cubs of the pride, and other times will collect herbs to feed the beetles. His current sub-male, Charcoal Burn, believes Grimme to be strong, despite his weak heart.
