I haven’t figured out her complete lore yet, but some basic information is that she is self proclaimed to be an evil queen; a snarky, bold, overconfident, and cruel queen as she puts it. Sometimes she is, in extremely small moments when her pride does not believe in her abilities to lead or step out of line towards her.
In the meantime, though at times her pack spots tiny animals along the lakes waterline — Peruvian Guinea pigs, Mascarene teals, even a small mouse known as the banded lilac astrexs — and their first thought is a small snack that they could keep away from the pride as their own. That is before their so called cruel leader steps out of the bushes carrying small leafy greens tenderly in between her maw, every step being careful as if she didn’t want to crush the shrubbery in her teeth.
Other times, when the brood mothers aren't around or simply unable to watch the cubs at the time, Flicker will aggressively agree to watch the "tiny runts" even though no one asked her to. Anyone who interjects, or begins to question why she wants to will be expecting an earful from her when she is away from the cubs. She says "none of them need to hear vulgarity, not until their adolescence. Don’t be vulgar around the adolescents either now that I think about it".
She also walks cubs and adolescent's that cannot be kept alike to nature reserves or adoption centers instead of abandoning them like most, don’t ask her about that either as she says.

III. Chasm.
The usual warmth of the spring sun could not satiate the strong chills that shot down Flicker's spine, the usually overconfident and boastful queen now silent and to be racked with nerves as she paced back and forth upon her perch. Her tail had lashing wildly when a noise from the trees or a sound from the grass had come within her radius, her sighs of relief sounding like exasperated dry heaves.
She had remained like this all day, and the pride had took notice immediately that their queen was in distress; whenever they would try and comfort her in this spectated, she’d tell them to go hide off somewhere or get out of her sight with a weary snarl. This had caused minor confusion, and most importantly, uneasiness.
The queen, for as long as anyone had knew her, was never this protective — or terrified? — of a fully grown adult lion that was perfectly capable of handling themselves standing near her. This wasn’t a bad day. What had her so wound up had the pride stumped, but that petrified look in her eyes whenever they were caught by her out in the open signified that it wasn’t just a what, it was potentially a who. A who that was a danger to them, and to Flicker herself.
