After not inheriting his father's place in his original pride, Brokenthorn took off on his own and stumbled across a small collection of lionesses. With their king old and dying, Brokenthorn vouched he would take care of the pride with all that he was. Haipa finally laid into his final slumber in peace. A year passes, and as the whispers fall from the sky, Brokenthorn comes into contact with the divine kingdom, more importantly Apedemak. Hearing his story, his words and his struggles, something within the young king awakens. A coveted rage for the pride he once came from. Fueled by his anger, he followed Apedemak's bidding with almost no resilience, aside from the few small that Brokenthorn did not agree with, such as forcing Menhit into an unwanted stance.
