B A C K G R O U N D
EveningTide known as Cherry Blossom was a rambunctious cub, ready and willing to try his paws at anything. He had wanted to become the Lead Hunter of his Birth Pride but as that is usually left to the female's of the group, he had been cast into a Submissive role to learn Patroling and keeping the Pride safe. His name was given because males of the his Birth Pride did not recieve a real name until they became a King or if they gave themselves their own as they walked though life as a Loner...He Disliked having to be away from his home and family often while learning the skills he needed...when he turned 1.5 years old he was cast out with the other teenagers of the his Birth Pride, his tracking and Patrolling skills weren't up to par and a few of his cousins and litter mates died due to low prey count and inexperience. He was forced ro make his way into other territories to steal food occasionally, and one day it nearly cost him his life...he had been watching Vøid's Pride and habits for about a week before the incident, he thought he had been in the clear as he rushed in to take what was left of the night's pervious kill before it was devoured by other scavengers. He made the mistake of not paying close enough attention, and ran face first into the Pride's Sub Male; Supernova. This was a large and seasoned male, and knew his way around the territory, but instead of killing or chasing him off he gave EveningTide a test...
The test was a near impossible task given to him to get rid of the teen but about a week later he had returned to the place he had first met Supernova, he then gave him a grin and placed at his feet a treasure he had found from thr Cape, where it was rumored a shipwreck had some lost treasure on the inside. He displayed it proudly and with the King's permission he was allowed to become Supernova's apprentice, the would patrole, sleep and eat together, upping his strength to show the King he was willing and able to protect the Pride was Supernova retires...a bond was struck between the two males and they became close friends, Pride memebers would say they were like brothers. When he turned 2 years old, the King offered him a name and the right to rule once he had stepped down. The name he was given was EveningTide for the waters and ship he had scouted and brought the treasure from.
"You will be a great leader someday." Supernova would often tell the younger lion, "you have grown so much, and you have great skills in all aspects of the Pride." He would look down at him and smile, "you are a worthy Heir..." He would say softly before nuzzling him gently...
