Joaquin is a kind lion, he believes no lion should ever disrespect a lioness. He doesn't mind doing favors for the ladies of the pride. [Becoming King] Joaquin couldn't believe it when Mimi told him he was going to be heir, why him? Joaquin knew he had good qualities but he thought Mimi would choose someone else, or even his brother Adam. Joaquin promised Mimi he would care for his pride just as well as Mimi did. Mimi has no worries, he knows Joaquin can do this. While speaking to Joaquin, he added "Take care of your brother, see him as your equal, your second in-command." Joaquin was a bit surprised to hear this from the King, of course he would look after his brother, but a second in-command? He has never seen that before, not even in this pride when Mimi is so close to the sub-males. "I will."
