De profundis ad astra - From the Depths to the Stars
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ γ€€ . ✦

A lonely figure dotted the bleak, snowy landscape. Stinging frost and unforgiving wind assaulted him from all directions. This shivering lion was the Stargazer, Harmony. As chief shaman of his tribe, he was responsible for making this treacherous journey to the summit of Naviance Mount each year. There, his ancestors among the stars would bestow guidance and prophecies for the coming year.

With a few final, labored steps, Harmony hauled himself upward, nearly losing his footing and tumbling back down the mountainside. As he steadied himself, he breathed a fulfilled sigh, his breath like a whisp of smoke in the frosty air. He had made it to the summit. Cold snowflakes tickled his nose as he gazed at the enchanting sunset. No matter how many times he made this journey, the beautiful scenery always captured his heart.

But long as he might to stare at the captivating twilight forever, that was not the reason for Harmony's journey. As the last dying rays of the sun disappeared beneath the horizon, the equally dazzling night sky took its place. The numerous stars illuminated the world with a gentle luminescense just as intense as daylight, the soft light reflecting off the pure-white snow and bathing the world in gentle starlight.

Harmony began to feel the effects of his torturous journey to the mountain's peak. His paws felt like rocks, his muscles aching and weak. The journey home would be equally rough. Harmony decided to finally let himself rest, wrapping himself in a blanket and letting sleep come to him. As he slipped into a deep sleep, the land of his ancestors came to his dreams. He rose from the depths of the mortal world to the stars above, eager to speak to his ancestors. For now, even for a moment, he was one with the stars.<*/p>
