She was a normal adolescent lioness found on the market watching as lion after lion passed by looking to buy. The best future she could hope for as a double rosette lioness was a decent male to buy her. Hell she would sit on the market day in day out she barely had a name MR PR. Then a shadow loomed over her casting the sun from her eyes. When she adjusted her eyes adjusted on a well looking blue lion male. He was an older lion then she usually sees but he had a small but manageable mane with gold coil snakes and honey bush decorating the top. His eyes glowed a firey blue as he looked down examining her. He looked at her pelt closely examining her rosettes. She froze maybe this would be the male to take her into her pride. Till he left flicking his tail side to side on the ground. She sighed this wasent the first time this happened. Later that day as she was sleeping with her siblings at the market she heard a rustling and a paw nudge her to wake up. She looked up to see the blue haze of eyes from the blue male. He had bought her. As she was going to ask him for his name he started to walk away. “Follow me” he says in an older voice. She quietly goes. By the time they get back to his pride it is sunrise. She is huffing as she catches up to him sitting watching the sun rise. “Hatharo Isoko” the blue lion says in a slight raspy voice. Before she can ask what he is saying he interrupts her. “My name is hatharo isoko. I have bought you”
She tries to talk to him “yes sir, I understand that I am your lioness now and-” before she finishes he places a red flower behind her ear “you are more then a lioness to me” he speaks quietly “how old would you say I am?”
She stammers “um” he speaks quietly “I am 15 years and 3 months ” she looks at him carefully realizing as she looks at him that he is much older than she thought.
“My time as a pride leader is coming to an end” he says with a sigh ”I understand but what does this have to do with me?” She says inquiringly “I have chosen you to be my heir” he says looking to the distance. She is shocked by what he has said. She leading a pride? It’s unthinkable. “I have carefully looked at your pelt and your liniage, I will have to change a few things but that comes with every good king”
She nudges his head and lays next to him to watch the sun rise “thank you” she stammers out “also you are going to need a name.
