Ashstar grew up in his birth clan called Sky Lion Clan(SkyClans lion ancestors). His mother was Ashcloud. His father, Jetstar was the leader of the clan. Ashstar has his father, Jetstar's blue eyes, nobility and personality, and his mother, Ashcloud's, stunning ashy white pelt, with a few onyx markings from his father on his legs, back, and tail. He got his glorious razor white mane after his father and mother. Ashstar, Ashstriker, at the time, had only one goal, to become the best warrior in clan history. However, endless wars and conflicts were with Sky Lion Clan, and his father Jetstar had only two lives left out of nine. As Ashstriker grew up he had a best friend named Dawnrise, the two got along really well despite Dawnrise's short temper. Things were just perfect aside from the endless conflicts, however, that all changed one day, when Shadow Lion Clan and Sky Lion Clan were engaged in one final battle. Nightstar, leader of Shadow Lion Clan, had pinned down Jetstar and with one bite to the throat and neck, instantly took both of his last lives away, killing him on the spot. After Nightstar had killed Jetstar, she had ordered her warriors to kill every Sky Lion Clan lion and lioness. Ashstriker had managed to escape with Dawnrise and after a few moons of their clans destruction and fall, Ashstriker decided to create a new clan in replace of their old one. As their dead ancestors, Star Lion Clan sent them a sign, thunder splitting the silence, Ashstriker had decided to name the clan Thunder Lion Clan. After Ashstriker had received his nine lives and leader name from the Moonstone in Mouthermouth, he became Ashstar. Now, Ashstar, worked on growing his clan, and training them. His main mate was Dawnrise but is now Ashwish, after receiving a sign from Star Lion Clan that his fate lays with Ashwish as his mate. Ashstar has gained the respect from the other clans, Shadow Lion Clan, Wind Lion Clan, and River Lion Clan, and has allowed Ashstar and Thunder Lion Clan to remain, as Star Lion Clan had sent a sign for there to be four clans in the forest to keep the balance. Ashstar now spends his days with his loyal clan, serving them the best he can as his father before him had done.
