Harald Haarfagre, son of Halvdan Svarte and Ragnhild, Norway's first King from aproximately year 865 to 930-933 after Christ. Traditionally he's been seen as the first king of Norway after he defeated his enemies in the battle of Hafrsfjord in year 872. He got his name from the stories where it has been speculatet that he denied to cut his hair and beard until Norway was united as one. We don't know how big his kingdom actually was, but it is agreed that the center of his kingdom was somewhere in the South-WestNorway, and it was connected to his control over the trading that happened along the coastline from the North of Norway to Viken.
