You wake up after a long day of travelling, grateful for the shelter offered to you by the Arroyo Pride, and... thankful that you weren't given a remote corner guarded by three threatening-looking lionesses like what was pretty standard for your travels. In fact, King Mohala had kindly offered you a warm nest beside him, to make sure you felt welcome. The eccentric King seemed pretty jolly and friendly, but you noticed there was an element of insecurity to his gestures. He seemed to be the type to obsess over his impression, to the point where he was very open to strangers. Oh well, at least he didn't have much of an urge to kill you in your sleep.
The den is mostly empty of lionesses, but Mohala remains asleep next to you, his tongue sticking out with his face squished against the ground. He is awoken by your amused purr, and his bliss turns to embarrassment as he scrambles to his feet with big clumsy paws. "OH, sorry, Iā didn't mean to fall asleep, I was just waiting for you to, uh... anyway! What can I do for you, bud?" You give your head a quick shake and you stretch, rising to meet his gaze. There wasn't a lot you needed from the bumbling King, but there were a few wants, come to think of it. With the sun in the sky indicating the noon hour, you felt like you could trust this guy to show you the best sunning spot.
