You've found yourself lost in a forest you're pretty sure is cursed to act as some sort of labyrinth- sure you'd succumb to the ache in your belly and throbbing in your head from the dehydration that had slowly settled in after hours with little more water than the dew you could collect from the grass. Your paws ached and your fur was quite dirty, but you couldn't stop else you may be stuck here forever.
Suddenly, fireflies, or so you think at first, start speckling the air around you. They danced, an array of blues and pinks floating like snow on a gentle breeze before you. You've never seen such a sight, one that makes you think you may really be losing it, but still magnificent nonetheless. Dazed, you don't notice at first the presence of another lion behind you, jumping a little once you finally do.
"Hello, stranger. My name is VioletWhisper, lone wanderer of these very forests in which you've unluckily found yourself."
Her, at least you were pretty sure it was a lioness, voice was like a whispered hiss. It slithered into your ears and caused a shiver to squirm beneath your skin. Though her voice was that of a snake's, she was truly a magnificent sight to behold. Most notably, it looked as if she were on fire, her steps a blue flame and her eyes ablaze with the hottest inferno, though the rotting leave below didn't even look charred under her silent steps. Her fur was like a distant rainbow and she was adorn with the most fine of silk veils, the only disturbance to her shining fur was the protruding of spikes along the spine of her back and a crown of horns between her ears.
You then notice a glowing silhouette behind her- 'another lion?', you wonder to yourself. You then think back to her words, when she announced herself to be a 'Lone Wanderer', and feel the need to point it out to her. That is, before you take a good look at the other stranger- realizing that not only could you see the dark forest through their ethereal body, but their bottom half was nearly invisible to your untrained eye. They looked almost like... a ghost.
