Prince of the Savannah ✨Ares✨

You walk up to Ares again, bringing him a piece of prey that you helped the lionesses catch as a thank-you for letting you be their guest. The huge lion is sitting beside a small pool of water at the base of the mountain, which you hadn't noticed before. Beside him, a huge crocodile rests, apparently enjoying the lion's company. It makes no aggressive movements, just lays there with its mouth open to the cool breeze. You stand there in surprise, then Ares notices you and makes an amused sound.
"Come over, it's alright. He won't hurt you." He flicked his tail at the reptile, who just blinks at you, as if it's thinking, 'Why is this lion here if it's not giving me that food?' You finally pad towards him with the prey, eyeing the crocodile suspiciously. After a moment, you tell Ares that you helped the lionesses catch this prey and they told you that you could bring some of it to him. He nods and thanks you. "You are fitting in well with the pride, I see. I have said this before, but stay as long as you need." He takes the prey and rips it into two chunks with a satisfying sound, then tosses one to the crocodile, who snaps it out of the air and swallows it whole with a rather self-satisfied expression. You sit with Ares for a little while, asking him about the crocodile and listening to his stories.
