Biography
Prunemist was pretty sure that, when Lightningheart retired and Redtail became leader, he would be the Clan's new deputy. Seeing as he was the only other submale, when Redtail became leader, he would encourage him to get Snowpaw back so that he would have someone to make deputy. Even though Snowpaw was in the Clan for a short amount of time, Prunemist and the young albino lion became quick friends.
Prunemist was made deputy by Redtail, and when it became time for the new Lightningheart to retire, Prunemist rose to power. Now being the new Leader, the new Heart of LightningClan, Prunemist has to pick a deputy of his own. He knows that Barkear isn't interested, and he's never mentored an apprentice, so he can't anyways. But Dunmane helped him train Cedarpaw, and knows he'll take on both Cedarpaw and Shadowpaw in his place, and decided that Dunmane was the best choice.
He never got used to being called Lightningheart. He missed being Prunemist, but knew it would be a huge disgrace to the first Lightningheart to request being called that again. And as far as big decisions went, like planning battles, who to go on hunt, who protects which cubs, he could barely handle the responsibility. He wanted almost nothing more to not be leader, to not be Lightningheart, as every day he feared he would jeopardize the safety of his entire Clan. One wrong move could lead to somebody getting hurt or worse, and it wasn't long before he noticed he was getting some early grey hairs in his pelt. He hides the pressure he's under to keep his Clan in a safe and secure feeling, to keep them thinking that they have a strong leader so they don't panic, but he doesn't know how much longer he can take it. At least he has someone to talk about it too, Cedarbark. Prunemist and Redtail worked together to make sure Cedarbark could stay in the Clan, all at Prunemist's request. He could never tell why he wants Cedarbark with him so badly, he didn't know why his heart seemed to skip a beat when he was near him, and he didn't know why he felt a need to impress him so badly, but he did, and couldn't tell why.
