Event History:
March: Dhaja makes his debut from the forest as a poacher-killer and animal-rescuer. Quickly gains notariety amongst the other human settlements, as well as the animals in the area.
April: Meets Wenet and establishes a firm pawhold on the rabbit population with her. However, instead of a full-on extermination, he follows the example of the Nature Preserve and begins selecting rabbits to bring directly into his territory in a controlled way. He convinces Wenet to join him and use her knowledge of the rabbits to help create the Feline Burrow of Investigation, a territory-wide network of fluffy informants that keep the pride aware of all movements within the lands, with the pups of those burrows being made into playmates and pounce-practice for the pride's cubs.
May: Dhaja shows off his strength in the Arena, though only at the encouragement of young V'kai, who he enjoys teasing. He finds that he quite enjoys the attention of other lions, and shamelessly flirts with his groupies, often having nightly "tussling" parties at his lair with two or three eager partners.

General Bits and Bobs:
The king employs a network of rabbit-based informants that watch his territory and report back to him through a series of tunnels. This network is called the Feline Burrow of Investigation.
In order to combat the rising need for milk, especially for the many abandoned cubs the king rescues, the pride has domesticated/stolen pre-domesticated female goats. This also helps to teach the cubs that not every creature should be killed for meat, especially when they can be more helpful otherwise.
The king's messenger system is a family of crows.
Most of the crafting is done by the broodmothers, as it's hard to do much else when you have to remain laying down for the bulk of your waking hours.
There is a village nearby that respects the king's territory, and is mostly left alone because of that. Their discarded jewelry and metal pieces are collected by the crows for the king. They also seem to practice esoteric shamanism and witchcraft, and the king is very interested in learning more about how their magic differs from what he's aware of.
The king's advisors are also his adopted parents, a wise orangutan and a fire-blinded black mamba. As such, he has a healthy rapport with both simian and serpent dwellers of his territory, the former happily crafting him ornaments and the latter granting him knowledge and secrets beyond his territory. Because of this, he knows a limited amount of shamanic magic.
