Biography
Hybris was born into a wonderful pride. The only downfall was that the main male was always at the top of the leaderboard. He left nothing for Hybris, even though he was his father. Hybris' father was a selfish male who had nothing but time on his hands to always be on top. Soon enough, Hybris left, he followed his path and wanted to discover his journey. He went through many prides, even as a cub, always being passed around and seen as the "runt" or the "second-best." During his time through these unique prides though, he learned that nothing is always fair and that you must work harder. Every day he worked and worked to become the best in the pride. After becoming almost like a son to one of the kings in the Slewfall pride, he was now an heir. A soon-to-be king made him proud, adrenaline filled his body when the king (Cassis) had told him this. Always being looked down upon almost his whole life he would take this with pride. Soon enough, Cassis became too old to stay a king and his body was slowly shutting down. He called Hybris over to him, Hybris made his way over with his head lowered out of respect for the old mane. Cassis then announced the new king, that being Hybris. Cassis continued to tell Hybris this, "Lead with great kindness and the circle of life will bring it back to you." Heeding his words, Hybris became a great leader.
