Blessed are the Peacemakers is a 12/15 nrlc for the 4.1.22 rlc line! He is named after a mission in Red Dead Redemption 2, my favorite game of all time. No spoilers from me, but the mission really hit me hard and I think about it at least once a day. Arthur Morgan, the main protagonist of the game, has changed my life for the better. His story is very impactful and only gets better the further you progress. If you’re of a mind to analyze and think about it, your life will change. Mine did simply from playing my first playthrough. Nothing has ever impacted me the way this game has, the way this man has. I truly don’t have words to explain fully how much Arthur has changed me. When I first played the game, I was playing to escape the death of my grandfather. I think I connected to Arthur and used him as a way to escape my shitty home life and my own grieving, and suddenly I was a cowboy in 1899 who was searching for his own purpose. If I wanted to be dramatic, I could say this game saved my life. And in a way, it did. Even though the game has caused me to cry, scream, and hit the walls multiple times, it's also made me reflect and better my own self. I have met my best friends through this game, because of a silly little cowboy who screams "HEY MISTER!" at passing NPCs and likes to draw in his journal. All in all, Arthur has been a very prevalent figure in my life since late 2022, and I honestly wouldn't change a thing. I can thank that game for a lot of things in my life.
