His father often worked, being one of the highest ranked submales, the right hand of the pride king. Sol was an only child, but not by his mother's choice. Sol's father would often kill off the cubs he deemed "unworthy" of life and those he saw as weak. Sol watched as many of his younger siblings were out to death by his father. Sol's mother raised him. Sol was around a year when his mother was ran from the pride after being accused of trying to kill the lead females cubs. The true attacker was actually his father. Jealous of the King's dynasty, Sol's father had attacked two of the kings youngest cubs. Sol had jumped in to defend the young cubs, and because of this was given a nasty scar as a reminder. Because of his involvement in saving the Cubs he was spared from the punishment. His father was put to death in front of the pride. A warning to anyone who dated attack any more of the royal bloodline. Sol stayed with the pride for a few more years. A reminder of his past forever on his skin and in the pride's memory. He left not long after turning three.
