As a cub, Aerith was always beaten down & teased by the other cubs. He was sad & felt unwanted. His father began to feel conflicted towards his child & began to treat him badly, rejecting him, beating him, chasing him, growling at him & inflicting pain on young Aerith. Aerith had always been a kind & sweet cub, so he bared the pain & suffering. Although his childhood was rough & unbearable, over time Aerith accepted who he was, an unwanted lion. He left his pride in search of a mate to create his new pride, adopting rejected & unwanted cubs along the way. All of his pain made him independent & strong, he's kind & never wants to treat his cubs the way his father treated him. He lives a happy life, leading his small pride with his Queen, Sena.
