A crow flies overhead, seemingly trailing you as you travel through the riverlands. It swoops down and you duck to avoid its talon, but it swerves up at the last moment. When you look up, it has perched on the shoulder of a massive white-pelted lion, his yellow eyes glaring down into yours. You scramble to stand up and he takes a furious step forward, baring his teeth into a snarl.
"Who are you, stranger?" He snaps, taking another pawstep forward before a dappled dark red lioness cuts off his path.
"Frost, enough! Can't you see the poor thing is lost?" The lioness turns to you with a soft smile.
"I'm so sorry about him, dear. He's harmless, really. Just protective. I am Hyenaspots, but please, call me Hyena, love. Please, feel free to rest and eat with us. Come listen to our stories. Join us if you'd like. All our welcome here." She purrs. The lioness flicks her tail once, twice, before she and Frost pad away. You look down to see the crow eyeing you. You snarl at it, but it just... stands there. Eventually, it flies away, leaving you to follow after Frost and Hyena. What strange lands have you come to explore now...?
