Our Fateful Meeting

The once snow-filled land has since melted away, leaving the ground well watered and flourishing. New life has come and grown throughout the hills and forests. New sights. New smells. The scenery; breathtaking. Flowers, trees, and animals as far as the eye could see.
As you pad around, taking in the view of the hills of flowers and fresh prey, you notice a makeshift den within the side of a nearby hill. You approach, weary of what could have dug out a hole into a hillside. A few steps away from the entrance, you notice a shadow fall upon you from above. You look up, a figure stands there, blackened from the sunlight, but the edges of them were glowing a brilliant, golden green hue.
“Howdy there!” The figure takes a leaping jump and rolls down the hill straight towards you. You take a few steps back as to not be hit by the stranger. Within no time, they reach the bottom and jump up to their paws. They laugh.
“Wow, that was fun. Whew. I’m dizzy. Anywho, as I was, hi! Welcome to my hillside! The name’s Yarilo, I’m an odd lil god of springtime, vegetation, and the likes. I am always happy to find a new friend and am totally down to let others run through my land. No one mortal, or immortal haha, needs to keep all this natural beauty to themselves. A lot of my lions I watch over do lives around these parts, so make sure not to run over them. They are super friendly though! Do feel free to visit them!”
The lion turns tail and rapidly runs up the hill he had rolled off from just moments before. Once at the top, he turns his head to give you a beaming smile. “So, anywhere you wanna visit first, stranger?”
