be so fr, i remember staying up at 12:39am last night writing this omg.
SMALL TALES:
VRSTA, ADOLATI, and QOR are the only ones from the INNER RING to have ever laid eyes upon KOR. The only mortal to survive the sight was KOR's mortal mother after being given a blessing of sight and ease from YOKUBO.
KOR is not spoken of in the INNER RING, and is largely unknown in the OUTER RING--other than a few passing rumors to "scare cubs." VRSTA is the only one to dare speak his child's name.
EUTEPRE, KOR, and ADOLATI are the only members of the INNER RING who can go claw to claw with VRSTA in a fight. Only KOR can beat him.
SCENE: A broodmother piebaldess lays, telling the story of the pride to the cubs.
"A mortal, no matter how strong, is still mortal. A godess, no matter how lesser, is still goddess. Tales and rumors spiral, legend of the immortals whom adorn the jutting peak of the mountain against the stars," explains the mother. The piebaldess lays sprawled out under the cover of a burgeoning sausage tree, paws slightly kneading the warmth that the carved stone allows. Cubs, plenty a healthy, climb up. After much complaining, complaining, and complaining for the story retold, the piebaldess relents with a gentle coo. "the lake, surrounding the pridelands was carved by VRSTA. It reflects the souls of the worthy, and offers solace. A lost soul may watch a hundred prides fall, but we, we are enlightened. The godesses that protect our land, the pillars of our golden age." The youngling's often chaotic eyes sparkle, tilting their small little heads. "The OUTER RING, you see, us. We protect the base of this mountain, and in turn, we live a prosperous life of ease. Leave, and face the barbarics. The INNER RING holds the pillars, yes. The Priestess, the Mother, the Warrior, and the Hunter." She continues on. "When a band of primal brutes attempted to come in vicinity of our star-touched lake, the Warrior fended them off at her will with a single strike. When the greatest of elephant matriachs came in a challenge, the Hunter fed the entire pride." CURTAIN
SCENE: The pillars all watch a projection of the storytelling.
A painted picture of conjuction. A small, raised rock basin in the center of the moonlit cave gives way into small streams, diving each colony into a dynamically changing space for each goddess and eventually converging into the giant waterfall that the OUTER RING lays their eyes upon. Robes of woven souls rustle against the rock with a gentle giggle from their owner. "That's a stupid story," EUTEPRE muses, eliciting a mean side eye from ever composed YOKUBO. ADOLATI lets her gaze waver not, white eyes bleeding simply into the mirage. "Seriously, QIMOQ, how do you deal with going to talk to them? Haha!" EUTEPRE's lithe form slithers around the dwarf, who looks more than done with the goddesses antics. "Dontcha' gree, Warrior?" EUTEPRE turns her justs to ADOLATI, of which the star pelted lioness dips her head. "Watch your words, EUTEPRE." The Priestess grin, "watcha' gon' do bout' it?"
