Alrenterth was not ready for the untimely passing of his King, and namesake, no lion could properly be prepared for their ruler's death at the age of one year and some months. It was almost as though the moment he was born, fate had determined his future; fate falls for no temptress and sees through everything. The only semblance of training he received for the role was from the Queens that had lived under the peaceful rule of the previous lords. Many of them are now old and feeble, bodies moving slowly as they no longer can perform their duties of years passed. The pride was aging, dying ever so slowly, years of work crumbling around his very paws.

Each day the wear and tear renders his mind and senses numb; something, anything, it had to change. Hami of the Dawn Bringers foundation was turning to ruin, and it all fell upon the shoulders of young King Alrenterth. The lightest of steps barely captured his attention from behind, he stood stock still at the sure and curt voice that followed, "This is not the first time the pride has faced potential extinction, only a young cub would think otherwise." Unholy Dawn, the pride's only diety; in life she was more vicious than a rabid honey badger, but in death she had risen to Godess of Greed and Prosperity.

"How does one rise from this ruin? How did they manage?" He was unsure, as any young King would be.

The golden headdress she wore glinted in the sunlight, and her bloodstained fangs showed through her pink lips. "February."

Unsure if he heard her correctly, he rubbed at his black ears before addressing her again, "repeat that, please."

"You heard me loud and clear, February." Turning on her lengthy legs the glorious pink lion in her black chains and red warpaint began walking away, her long tail swaying above her back. "The clock is ticking, young Alrenterth, it's time you search for those shells. I see much wealth shortly. You wouldn't disappoint a god, would you?"

This must be the curse of the Omen Eyed.
