In a land that was plentiful Korin arrived with his lifemate, Golden Grass. They built their pride, gained members, expanded their territory.
Korin became known... His generosity and his wisdom were renowned. His lionesses hunted, and several bore his cubs, though Golden Grass remained his only mate.
As Korin expanded, he had to take some territory from other lions: it was the way of the land. Many were angry, his pride stronger than theirs.
The creatures of the plains, jungles and mountains here were all divided - each kept to themselves.
Korin's willingness drew them together, he now has allies of polecats, bat, cheetahs, wolves and others.
All well too: for another lion wishes to challenge Korin. This lion believes Korin to be Lord of all their lands, and wants that title himself. But it is not a one-on-one combat: for Korin has an heir: Rintira.
This lion challenges Korin's whole pride for Lordship: now they wage war upon one another.
Thankfully, he believes he has managed to make contact with an old friend... Pallidus...

And as Korin retires into an easy and comfortable life, Rintira takes over the pride. His strong will and quick mind are sure to do Korin proud, and in days of peace that follow, Rintira becomes strong.

Rintira has lead the pride through many hardships and many peaceful times. The pride expanded and became strong, and a young lion named Lekya Zoi was born with great strength. Zoi is gentle and calm, and Rintira sent him away to the south of his territory with a few lions to rule a second pride there. Zoi relies on Rintira for support and guidance and his pride has become a formidable force itself.

Rintira visits Zoi often in the south, he speaks of his age and Zoi's maturity, how he no longer needs Rintira's support to lead.
Rintira has ruled well and finds solace in the mountains, spending days and nights wandering there whenever he can. Sometimes he hears the lionesses whispering to each other that one day he will go there without the intention of returning.
However he often finds himself accompanied by a young lion. Adventurous, curious, good humoured and kind to his friends, Rintira welcomes the cub's company and before long is teaching him.
As Kurina grows taller and stronger his chivalrous tendencies are balanced by his will for solitude. He joins Rintira in their beloved mountains, but finds Rintira walks less far each day, often stopping at a warm stone to sunbathe while drilling Kurina in good humour.

There are easy months to come, the shamans will help give Kurina strength as a new king, and there will be no conflict in the snow season. Rintira knows that now is when Kurina, although very young, should assume the role of king.

When Rintira announces to the pride that Kurina shall be his heir, many are unsettled and there are mutterings of dissent... he is too young, too introspective...
But Rintira ignores these, he continues to train Kurina who now feels the weight of expectation on his shoulders... and bears it with pride.
Rintira tells Kurina that he wishes the young lion could have met his father's wise and spiritual friend Kirashi, who guided Rintira in his early kingship. Kurina finds great solace in the spirits and the stars.

It isn't long after that one dawn, Rintira is missing. Kurina tears across the distance to Lekya Zoi's pride. Zoi returns swiftly with Kurina and assumes command. It is not long before various search parties spread across the territory, and Kurina heads out alone to the mountains.

The lionesses' mutterings prove true. Lekya Zoi stays with the pride until the next dawn, and then leaves Kurina to follow Rintira's paws.

The dissent grows, Kurina turns to his friends the siblings Blussi and Scorching Ash for support, and finds surprising comfort in the spirited, wilful and independent lioness Drifting Ash. The Shamans come and there is peace, followed by the joyful snows. He has time to get strong before the next great catastrophe, he can keep the pride safe and find guidance from Rintira in the Stars.

Lekya Zoi’s pride in the south becomes filled with strong, storm-driven lions. They have cloudy pelts of rain and live wilful and independent. As Lekya Zoi ages, he names his heir: Tamli Liu. A powerful and brave lion, with a frozen icy pelt and a rash strength about him.

Under him, the pride becomes even more independent and private, keeping hidden and always getting stronger - but always maintaining close ties with Kurina and his pride.

Kurina has been kind hearted through his life, taking on lions in need of a home, raising the pride to be strong. He made many allies over his years. Not as tough as Korin, not as big as Rintira, but with a heart of gold and nature of flowers. Kurina loves to spend his days in the flower fields or in the valleys where the ivy and plants climb the rocks and flower. He lead his pride through the great hunger, the rabbit infestation, and now he feels a stirring in the earth. The championships are a cheerful affair but as his muzzle greys he worries he will not be able to lead his pride through the catastrophe coming. He has an heir in mind, but the young lion is hardly more than a cub. Kurina shares his fears with only his closest friends and mate, Drifting Ash, Scorching Ash, Looming Storm and Blussi. A rumbling in the earth as hard times draw near.

Kurina is tired, he finds it hard to protect and defend his pride. His skill and smarts won him many a prize in the arena, but faced with old and evil snake creatures he finds himself weakening. The young cub, Skaeyi who is son of Kurina's dear friend Tamli Liu, has grown into a fine young lion and Kurina has taught him much. Kurina tries to pass on his soft spoken ways, his unassuming outlook, and Skaeyi is diligent in his learning, recognising Kurina's struggle. Kurina can see Tamli Liu in Skaeyi, and in Tamli Liu his dear old teachers Lekya Zoi and Rintira.

After a patrol warding snakes away from the pride, Kurina, the most selfless of lions, is injured. His leg is badly bitten and he will not regain strength in it. It is in this time that Skaeyi must face the daunting task of taking on the pride and its defence, including the great challenges ahead.

Skaeyi, not the strongest or the biggest steps up to fulfil his dear teacher's role. His stoic determination saw the pride through a difficult time with the snakes, and just as things begin to settle it seems a great celestial war falls upon them.

Skaeyi, however, deeply in tune with his nature as a sky-blessed lion. His star flecked coat proving as much. He gains great confidence and an air of authority while working with and against other sky-coated lions, while remaining sweet and humble among his pridemates. He takes a sweet fancy to the sky lionesses, young and bashful as he is, but remains deeply loyal to his celestial-coated Queen, Star Feather.

As his genes begin to work into the pride more star-coated lions are born and rumour spreads that they are a noble force to be reckoned with - the hunters faster and sleeker every day, the guards sharper and stronger, the advisors and charm-wielders smarter and braver. Skaeyi feels ready to protect the pride and territory from whatever danger this celestial war brings.

Skaeyi and Kurina’s star-driven influence drifts to Tamli Liu’s pride, as he names his heir the celestial, leonid lion Trinni.

An unassuming, powerhouse of a lion, he is tough and intelligent and leads the pride in an adventurous way. He takes the hits and is always the first to comfort a crying cub.

Trinni is wise beyond his years despite being young, and with Skaeyi to guide him is deeply moved and connected to the stars above, just as his ancestors were.

Skaeyi eventually grows old, and many of his star-flecked cubs live on in the pride. In an unprecedented decision, Skaeyi named his heir as Aranti. A sunrise-coated, ferus mutated lion.

A surprising decision, Aranti faces not only the challenges of ruling the pride- but also proving himself to the lions within and outside the pride that he is capable.

As human activity increases, Aranti’s cunning and power against them becomes increasingly clear, and he begins to prove that Skaeyi made a good choice - and a wise choice, as disaster and poachers loom on the horizon.

Although Trinni is still young, he is wise and guides Aranti from a distance. He tries not to interfere, letting Aranti struggle some and figure his own way out.

Aranti develops quite the reputation as a ferocious fighter and kind-hearted individual to many creatures, always out in the open and never hiding or being stealthy.
