☥ Parsifal XV ☥'s Den

The den of souls...the beacon. It is said that soul-based lions have a special affinity for the wandering souls of the dead. Many ignore this, and seek to live out normal lives with their non-soul pridemates. However, some lineages ahave sought to train this affinity into a sacred art, to complement the work of the shamans in aiding and guiding the spirits of the dead. You have stumbled into one such pride, the den of Parsifal.

The first Parsifal sought out soul-based lionesses and sought their factors to sire himself to create a cohort of lionesses skilled in the soul-guiding arts. They learned to listen to the voices of spirits, to trust their instincts, and to help lost souls complete their otherworldly journeys. Some sought out shamans learned the ways of herbs and bones. Some learned to go into deep trance states and return with visions of vistas of other worlds. The work was halting and piecemeal, but over time, they learned to understand their unique abilities and built a steady tradition. In the course of this, too, they realized that the world was filled with lost souls, desperate and wandering, in search of succor. Moved by pity and compassion, some of Parsifal's lionesses decided to build a beacon, to guide spirits to their territory to make it easier to find them and help them. The work was hard, but rewarding, and soon other lionesses joined the pride, despite not having the soul-based affinity. They became hunters, nestkeepers, guards, and friends of the soul-based lionesses, and the tradition grew into a community.

The community now is thriving, growing. Lionesses come and go. Those chased from former prides seem to find it especially warm and welcoming. Many cubs themselves leave and seek to find other prides, but some stay on, the soul-based to train in Parsifal's traditions, others to support or collaborate in other ways. Newcomers and allies are always welcome, so come on in, grab a meal, and let us know if you're having any trouble with restless or resentful spirits :)
