Simply put as "the Vale" to those who reside within it, this land resides in a sheltered vally in between two mountain rises on the South African coast. The cliffside shore can be accessed through a dense thicket in the southren mountain rise, while the northern mountain rise gives way to the savannah plains, which tend to change with the season in drastic ways. Within the vally lays a safe and bountiful land. The lions here enjoy shaded groves, colorful floral thickets, and frequent water streams that form thin waterfalls within the southren moutain rises lower areas.

The lions that live here rarly go hungry, and droughts are less severe unless you go beyond the northern rise. This life style has led the pride to value peace and pleasure over all things, and dont take things to seriously. This can come at a fault, making recovery from adversity more difficult to achieve. Outsiders may view this pride as unmotivated or indifferent. The locals disagree, boasting of their own hospitality, cheerful styles, and their plentiful land that was gifted to them by the forces of nature. One cannot ignore the colorful and jubilant culture the pride has developed in wake of such abundance.

In the northern region of their territory, the usaul prey items can be found. However, withen the valley and along the shore lay the Vales true delicacies. Any cub raised in the Vale knows the taste of a variety of sub tropical bird species, which although small, are very abundent and great for snacks. Along the shore line black footed pengiuns and the occasional preoccupied cape fur seal can be found. These shore line prey items and especially high regarded by the local predatory population. Of course with such bounty, foraging is also a frequent hobby for most. Its rare to find a lion in this pride that isnt decorated in some fashion with the accents of nature.

With such excess comes inevitable outside interest. The pride is young, being recently protected by local human efforts (the lions are unaware, but grateful for the passive life non the less). Few worry of outside invasions or internal threats, but those who indulge less and observe more tend to keep the posibility of danger in the back of their minds, just in case. Every morning under the sunrise, the lions of this pride bask in an era of light. They can only hope for it to remain as long as nature is willing.

Months passed as the pride basked in abundance. Eventually, the comfortable heat began to affect them more than they would have liked to admit. Everyone went on their business, until one of the young adolescents dropped dead from "heat exhaustion" after a hunt. Many were lost from this mysterious ailment, including Jubilee himself. The pride struggled to keep a bright attitude, finding themselves fallen prey to infighting very quickly. After a month of blazing heat and loss, one talented lioness deducted the heat wasnt killing them. The bodies of their fallen would make others sick, and so she deducted they had been plagued with sickness from the damp and hot environment. Kaleidoscope, Julibees apprentice and heir, was distraught and vowed to move the pride away from the marshes and deep tropical forests when hot weather arrived. This would mean he would have to expand the territory. As the may area games raged on at the time, Kaleidoscope took the chance to prove himself and claim some territory on his prides behalf.
