King Haystar and Queen Aquadapple
After starting his pride and getting the barebones established he sought out a queen. Someone to listen to him, help him make decisions, and to help him bear the weight of leading. Aquadapple was the lioness that fit the bill perfectly. The moment King Haystar set eyes on her, he knew he needed her. So he bartered with her king and ultimately won her favour.

King Haystar was nothing but a lone lion that felt the need for companionship but wanted to rule his own pride. He never really knew what would happen when he chose to travel the world, but he felt like there was more to explore than he had been given the opportunity to. He was a bit of a loner, but gentle, savvy, curious and perhaps a little too opinionated. What else would you expect from somebody with his position? He started his pride by taking in whatever lioness would give him the time of day and that was how the Sundust Pride was founded.
