AVES PRIDE

Founder:

The Aves Pride was founded by a lion from a distant pride named the Stellan Pride, Hesper.


PRIDE LOCATION:

The Aves Pride is quite strange, living among the trees where they are closest to their feathered companions.

PRIDE PHILOSOPHY:

The Aves Pride takes Pride in looks, they don't like taking in lions that won't contribute anything to them or have the markings to make good cubs. They like having a lot of food, as at the start of the pride lions would constantly die from hunger, one big event was named "The Starvation" as the whole pride but a few lions had died and it took almost forever to fully rebuild the pride.

The Aves Pride sees birds as their companions in the afterlife, once a cub becomes an adolescent they will be bonded with a bird from the Sunshine Tree. Once bonded they will place a feather in their mane to secure the bond, once the lion is deceased they will get the wings of their companion in the afterlife, able to soar among the clouds. But if their feather is taken away before death then they will be trapped on the land, forever.

PRIDE CODE:
1: The king must always care for his pride over his own life.
2:Cubs and Elders MUST eat before hunters, brood mothers, and the king himself.
3:No cub, either from a lone lioness or another pride, will be harmed. They will be treated as if they were our own.
4:No blood must be shed on a bonding night.
5:No eating past sun down.
6:Cubs must stay inside after sundown.
7:Kings MUST retire after a serious injury, example: Lost limb, broken limb, serious neck/belly injury.
8:Hunters MUST become a elder if no longer in condition to hunt or fight.
9:If no sub males are available after the king retires, a WELL FIT hunter MUST take his place temporarily .
11:All companions will be protected and treated as if our own.
12:In NO circumstance must a lion remove their bonding feather, this is considered treason and will result in death.
10:At no time may the code be questioned.

KING STATUS:

HESPER:

Hesper was a kind leader, he loved all his cubs and always spoke in a soft quite voice.

Cause of death: Starvation

CORRADO:

Corrado was a strict leader, he ruled with fear and would punish any lioness that failed a hunt. He was named leader after The Starvation and by any means wasn't going to let it happen again.

ALBEDO:

Albedo was a soft and kind lion, though with his big body he seemed very intimidating. He didn't really like cubs and had an awful memory.

Companion: Common Buzzard

Cause of death: Killed by hyenas

BUTEO:

Buteo was a self-absorbed clueless idiot, he was cowardly and often relied on his "brothers" to fight his battles. He was very friendly but loved to talk about himself all the time, his second favorite thing to talk about were birds, he would not shut up once he gets to talking about them, he would watch them all day if he could, the other lions honestly thought he acted more like a bird than a lion.

NARANDER:

Narander was a confident fellow, though he didn't really have anything to warrant being so into himself...guess there really is no love like self-love.

YASHODA:

Yashoda was surprised to be chosen as heir, he didn't really see himself as leadership material at all. He wants nothing more than to be remembered as a perfect king, but sometimes the pressure overwhelms him.
