Here in the Grey forests, the fog never truly leaves, and the rain never truly stops - blanketing this land in an eerie, yet almost ethereal haze.
Life and nature are abundant here, yet so are secrets, half buried in ancient temple ruins and crystal filled caves; all guarded and watched over by a pride of lions ruled by their Shadow - their King.

The Lions of the Grey forests are a spiritual, superstitious lot who worship the sky, stars and astral bodies as ancestor spirits and Gods. They believe the Grey Forests to be the closest land between the world of the living and that of the starry afterlife, so it is here they act as its caretakers and protectors.
Many travellers seek out the Grey forests to commune with the departed ancestors, and to drink from its many lakes' water believed to heal the soul; but only a rare few have ever found this place.
