DIALOGUE

Your paws stomp busily through the rainforest floor. The foliage grew thicker the farther you went.
You weren’t sure what strove you to travel so far.. so deep into the rainforest, it was a little boring after all. Just plants, the occasional jaguar, mist, and more plants. It was moist and muddy the farther you got. But it was pleasant. Pleasant, yes, but you had king-ly responsibilities to tend to! About time to head back home in a while.. after a few more steps of course.
The farther you went, the more ‘populated’ it seemed, you could have sworn you’d seen a lioness or two stride past. You move farther in. Your paws are starting to grow tired(and muddy), a rest would do you well! So you secure a spot at the base of a tree, lazing your body against its rough bark. You would stare off into the distance, trying to make out objects in the mist.. this place gives you the creeps. Wasn’t too pleasant no more. So after regaining some energy, you stood. The second you stood to full height the face of a lioness greeted you, her fur a base of beige and her markings bright and messy. You roar, jumping back. She smiles at you. You couldn’t smell her, didn’t hear her approach. What the?..
Suddenly, a loud lion can be heard from the distance. He’s yelling, and coming straight for you. Or her? Either way, his primal form ripped through the mist, and you sure as hell didn’t want to be in the way when he got there. So you jumped to the side, and the male pounced on the misty form of the lioness. Affectively stomping her out.
Well, at least you weren’t the only one going insane here. He saw her too.
He growled, mumbling words to himself like a madman. You can see his eyes are bagged, he’s clearly tired. Clearly these spooky ghosts were really getting to him. He paces in circles for a minute before noticing you. His eyes widen at your presence.
“You.. how long were you here?” He pauses. “Did you.. see her too?”
His eyes were wild, begging for you to give him some sort of confirmation.
