Kestral Leaf's Den

Roleplay Entry (Warning, very long)

As you are exploring you come across a vast spruce forest. You walk through the ominous forest feeling oddly watched. You come across a clearing in the trees, a large bush ring surrounds the area. There are also 4 holes in the ground. You start to head toward the pile of kill, tempted to take a large hippo when a large lion approaches you. He has a scarce silver colored mane and a silver coat with a mahogany crust. He gets closer growling, “Well, well, well, what do we have here. A thief?” Just then you notice how young he appears.

Suddenly another male walks out of one of the caves chuckling. He was much larger than the first with a thick blonde mane and chocolate fur with nacare accents. He was dressed in flowers and had two horns atop his head. He also had many birds around him. “Laos, stop playing with our newcomer”. There was a playful yet threatening tone in his voice. The first lion, Laos, looked embarrassed and walked away. “Welcome newcomer, I am Kerin, welcome to Nya” (Out of rp, in swahili Nya means ‘a friend, a companion’) You eye the cheerful king, you tell him your name “Hello, I am ________ from pride ______” He asks you a few questions about your intentions. After answering he shows you around.

You walk into the first den, it’s full of several lioness’ most of which watch you, some standing, others whispering. Suddenly Kerin begins speaking. “You all can relax” he chuckles before beginning again “This is ______. They mean no harm.” He begins to introduce each lioness by name and they all nod their head or say hello, they fully trust Kerin and his word, how odd.

Next he shows you to a den, but before entering he turns to you and says “Be careful, they may be a little bit hostile” There was a glint of amusement in his eye as he entered. As you walk in you notice several young lions, Kerin calls them ‘Adolescents’. They are all snickering as you walk in, Kerin shoots them all some looks that make them all goo silent. “Meet _____, they are a visitor and you will treat them with the utmost respect” The adolescents snicker again then all say “Hello _____” You left the den very worried.

Next he leads you to a den that smells heavily of mothers milk and kill. As you walk in you hear many little roars followed by giggles. As you walk in you also hear Kerin giggle then say, “Are you ready for training Little One?” Then a very little voice said “Yeah!” The cub was full of determination. Then you step in, Kerin turns to you and says, “Oh you finally came in” He chuckled playfully and so did you. “Anyways, welcome to the nursery” He began to introduce all the cats,and their cubs. You walk out feeling joyus.

Finally he shows you to the final den. The stone passage to this den is much longer, but it opens up to a very large opening with a couple shelves. On one, some silver and gold beetles, on another a display of shiny rocks and gems. On the final one several instruments on clay slabs. “Welcome to my den” There was much pride in his voice. He then tells you that you can follow through one of the other stone passages, but the other you cannot. You follow him to a smaller area with a nest and some other shelves with unknown items. You leave the den with some gifts and a smile.

As you prepare to leave the pride Kerin stops you and says, “Feel free to visit anytime” He has a smile on his face as you depart. You leave feeling forever welcome in Nya.
