Δionysus's Den

The Den of Δionysus

As you cautiously pad into this pride's territory, your eyes cannot help but linger on one lion in particular. He appears to lay, belly up to the world, in front of the king's den, yet you cannot help but question the authority of this male. He suns himself, every now and then harrumphing in content, and the warm rays glance off of his fur at just the angle to give him an almost ethereal glow. His eyes are closed and he appears deep in his blissful nap, but his ears twitch every time your paws hit the sandy soil. Perhaps he is more aware than he appears?
As you approach, his eyes blink open and he slowly stretches, every movement somehow both languorous and measured. "Hello, darling," he purrs, "what can I do for you today?" His teeth glimmer bright and sharp as he yawns, feigning boredom.
