FOUNDING OF THE OURÁNIOS PRIDE

The pride started with a celestial lion named Calcareous. While many stories vary on how or why Calcareous was cast out of the heavens, most lionesses believe it was because he tried to claim the lioness fated to be courted with the celestial king.

Either way, Calcareous was cast down from the stars and onto the earth; he spent several years alone before settling in the mountains, hoping to one day rejoin the stars.

That day never came for Calcareous, instead he found others in similar situations to him, lionesses chased from their lands, males with nowhere to go or be, cubs abandoned by their parents.

Calcareous would shelter every single one of them, and soon enough, the lonely mountain was transformed into the home of the Ouránios pride.
