Lets go back 500 years ago.
I know what you’re thinking.
A lone king.
A dystopian world.
A land that’s gone to waste.
How did this world get so broken?
Kemandra.
This is what we used to be.
When our land was whole, and we lived harmoniously alongside the Tatsuye.
Magical lions, creatures who brought us water, rain and peace.
It was paradise.
But then, the Druun came.
A mindless plague that spread like wildfire, multiplying as they consumed life and turned everyone they touched into stone.
The Tatsuye fought for us the best they could, but it wasn’t enough.
That’s when the Mighty Holkaren came, the last Tatsuye, concentrated all her magic into a gem and… …blasted the Druun away.
Everyone that was turned to stone came back.
Except the Tatsuye.
All that was left of Holka was her gem.
It should have been this big inspirational moment, where prides united over her sacrifice.
But instead, lions being lions, they all fought to possess the last remnant of Tatsuye magic.
Borders were drawn, Kemandra divided.
We all became enemies, and the gem had to be hidden.
But that’s not how the world broke.
That didn’t truly happen until 500 years later, when the Tatsuye came back into the story,
one in specific, Chaiki, The Primal who brought almost every pride ashes,
the stronger kings joined to make a decision, they couldn't keep living in fear,
so they created a wall, the great wall called Timuni,
Timuni protected the prides inside its perimeters.
But the the prides that were left outside, were left to their own luck.
One of them, the pride of Riken, had the possession of the Holkan Gem,
and Chaiki Found it, he used it to bring back all the Tatsuye,
but they weren't the same, they were blinded by rage and hate,
the lions who they swore to protect had left them turned to stone for 5 centuries.
They joined Chaiki, and brought terror to Kemandra for years,
until a Tatsuye, a lion born from the shards of the Holkan Gem,
brought peace to Kemandra, her name, was Hoka,
and she is the mother of the New Generation of Tatsuye,
not lions born to serve prides, but lions who deserve respect,
and are worshipped.
