{ Hibiscus }'s Den

You breathe in the fresh air, crisp and clean. It’s especially sweet here on your high-altitude spot on a cliff. Despite the fresh air, you also smell lion.
Of course, you already know there’s a lion pride near here, but you smell lion right near you. Like, right in front of you.
You yelp, startled, when you see a furious lioness about 15 feet in front of you. She must have been blending into the Sunset behind her. But how long was she standing there? You shutter, and she narrows her eyes.
“What are you doing near my pride?” She snarls, her eyes glinting.
“Erm…” you mutter. You had your speech planned out in your head, but her piercing glare is making you nervous. “I’m looking for your king, I’d really like to speak to him about something.”
“Ok. Well, what is it?” She growls.
“I’d really like to speak about it to your ki-“
“We don’t have a king,” She snarls, cutting you off. “We have a queen, though. Me. Now, what is it that your risking your own life to discuss? Unless you’d rather speak about it with a ‘king’?”
You widen your eyes, partly at the terrifying threat and partly at the realization. You nod, and begin to tell why you are in her Territory…
