All of these are real. Very real, indeed. Ghouls and spirits. The mythical and undead. All live behind, what is known to magical beings, as The Veil. Such an innocuous thing, really. You cannot see it. Neither can I. We cannot see what The Veil hides even if it is standing right in front of us. But it is there. It keeps all manner of ill-tempered and well-meaning spirits in line. The Veil prevents those supernatural--or magical--beings from crossing over into the mortal realm.

Only a select few are privileged with the guarding and upkeep of this invisible forcefield.

They are known as Keepers of the Veil.
