In the vast, desolate savannah of Heizore's world, the once-mighty lion pride had been reduced to mere remnants of their former glory. In the aftermath of an apocalyptic event, the land had become harsh and unforgiving, forcing the surviving lions to adapt in unimaginable ways.
Their timeline was ravaged by disease, fires, earthquakes and more, some say it was the beginning of the ends.

At this time before Heizores coming, many cubs were killed by their former King, a cruel one. One that allowed their lionesses and cubs to starve, to be depleted of water and food if it meant he lived. The King was killed by an unknown cause.

Heizore, now the queen of the pride, had been born during the darkest days of their timeline. Her vocal cords had been permanently damaged during an outbreak of raging fires that swept through the savannah, leaving devastation in its wake. The flames had been so intense that her roars had been swallowed by the inferno, leaving Heizore's voice breathless and into a wheeze.

With their hunting skills diminished, the pride had no choice but to rely on scavenging for their survival. The once-majestic predators found themselves reduced to pilfering the remains of carcasses left behind by other, more successful hunters. This desperate behavior often led to conflicts with neighboring prides, as they fought over the scraps of what little prey remained in the barren landscape.

As time passed and their desperation grew, Heizore's pride began to observe the cunning techniques of another species that had once thrived in the savannah: humans. They had seen these humans set traps to catch prey, and the lions recognized the potential for adopting similar strategies.

Using their innate intelligence and keen observations, Heizore and her pride started experimenting with crafting primitive traps. They utilized whatever materials they could find in their barren surroundings, such as vines, thorns, and rocks. These lions had developed an uncanny ability to mimic the methods they had witnessed the humans employ.

One of their most successful adaptations was the use of camouflaged pits. The lions would carefully dig deep holes in areas frequented by herds of ungulates, then cover them with a layer of dried grass and dirt to conceal the trap. When unsuspecting prey ventured over these hidden pitfalls, they would fall in, becoming easy prey for Heizore's pride.

Another innovation was the construction of simple snares. The lions would fashion loops from sturdy vines or fibrous plants, strategically placing them along well-traveled animal paths. When a creature unwittingly walked into one of these snares, it would be ensnared, allowing the lions to approach and make the kill more efficiently
