long ago, a lioness gave birth to a single cub, in the dead of winter. he was a affair cub, meaning she and the cub would be killed if brought back to her pride. it was her life or his, and chose hers. she left him near a dark, ice cold cave, to freeze. hours later, after sun fall and the temperature was at its lowest, a lion named Asmodeus, came across him. he was a pride king, and knew the cub wouldnt survive the next few hours. Asmodeus took the cub, and gave him a name, ''Eros''.
he would go on to praise Eros in his early years through his adolencence, seeing him as a gift from the gods. his needs were put before any other pride members. he was fed, entertained, and trained first. this caused Eros to become an evil, selfish, and destructive lion. moons later, Asmodeus was growing old, and needed to begin training an heir. though he had many better choices for an heir, he chose Eros, out of pure favoritism. he then began training.
his training lasted from sunrise to sunfall, every day. as much as Asmodeus loved and favorited him, his training was extremely harsh.
he became a very skilled hunter, and a great forager.
the training did make him a great leader, but it didnt override his evil personality.
after 10 moons of constant training, he was finally ready.
at just one year and 11 months old, Eros took the role of king. making him the youngest king in the prides history.
2 moons after Eros stepped into the throne, Asmodeus passed.
Eros was deeply troubled by this, having lost his father figure.
From there, his evil plans for the pride became a devastating reality.

THE WAY THE PRIDE RUNS

{THE HIGH COUNSEL}

the High Counsel is a group of lionesses that has higher power over the pride, but does not have the authority Eros does.
the High Counsels members are all sisters, their mother all being Nethimeir. any cubs she has that are females are automatically members of the High Counsel, and are to be trained and treated as such.
the members of the High Counsel are all called Priestess's. {meaning a woman regarded as a leader} they are to be referred to as ''Priestess {insert name} by the entire pride.
the High Counsel does tasks Eros is too busy to worry about, such as :
Organizing patrols and hunts
informing the pride of recent events
deciding if a pride member must leave (though, ultimately Eros must approve this.)
and other things.
the head of the High counsel is currently asteria.

{THE QUEEN}

the queen is a lioness in the pride who is completely loyal to the king, meaning she must never mate with another lion.
while she is heavily respected among the pride, she has no real authority, serving only the purpose of being loyal to the king and producing Priestess's for the High Counsel.
the queen must never hunt, forage or leave the pride bounds.
the current queen is Nethimeir.

{THE FORAGERS}
the Foragers are a group of lions who have incredible knowledge of different herbs, insects, plants, etc, and provide the needed hebrs for the Medic, and identify dangerous plants or insects near the pride lands. there are no physical, or certain genetic requirements to be part of this group, but Eros has his preferences. they are all trained by the head F0rager as cubs, who is currently a lion named gallowdance. Eros is the only one who can appoint a head of the Foragers or a head of the High counsel.

{THE MEDIC}
the Medic is a lioness who also has great knowledge of different herbs and plants, but is responsible for caring for sick or injured lions of the pride. the Medic must never hunt or leave pride bounds without explicit permission from Eros.
usually, the Medic will train a cub to become the next Medic, but in certain circumstances, like if the Medic dies without having trained/partially trained a cub, was exiled, etc, a Forager may take on the responsibility.
