you've been stumbling through the dense jungle for a while now, the chatter of birds and monkeys fills your ears as little rays of light force their way through the thick canopy.

you begin to hear the rush of water ahead of you and you dash towards the sound, bounding over roots and rocks until you halt quickly, forcing yourself to a fast stop as you look over the edge of the cliff in front of you, and down into the small valley, as a babbling stream flows down from the peaks across the ravine.

you follow along the edge of the cliff for some time, staring down at the bustling pride of colorful lions below, a large mass of cubs are splashing around at the bank of the river. two young lioness sprawl out in the white sand nearby, just beyond them you see the mouth of a massive cave, the inside shielded by flows of water almost forming a wall over the entrance.

"Beautiful isn't it" you startle, jumping back at the sound of the deep voice seemingly right behind you. you fling around to find a thin lion with dark war paint across his face,, her face? you couldn't tell, the lion has no mane, but a strong handsome face you could only imagine would come from a king, and yet a slender feminine build.

"you are welcome to join us, traveler, you seem hungry, and we are just about to have our evening meal." you nod, and the lion leads you to a depression in the peak where it is safe enough to climb down into the ravine.

as the two of you walk he turns back only for a moment "where are my manners, my name is Umid."
