PRIDE LORE

Palash was a golden coated lion that treated his and other prides with respect. He had the highest karma, and his actions demonstrated that. He had a long rule until he was old and frail, ready to pick an heir. He picked a lion that he deemed fit, though the next day the lion was found dead right in his nest with his intestines pooling out from his abdomen. The pride was panicked, unsure what to do about the anonymous traitor. Before Palash could choose a new heir, he received the same fate.

All the lionesses were panicked, having no more lions that could lead their pride. Then, a blue and pink striped lioness stepped up. Valorous, a 2 year old who was known for her generosity and kindness towards others. She offered herself to lead the pride, and even the most traditional lionesses agreed. Once she was confirmed the queen of the pride, all hell broke loose.

It was quickly revealed that it was Valorous that had killed Palash and his heir, and no lion dared to rebel against her. She led a bloody path, any lion daring to step on her territory was quickly murdered. All cubs were raised to be violent and power-hungry, putting the future of the pride further into jeopardy. But there was one cub. One sweet, quiet cub. One who had a plan.

A young primal lion who was one of Valorous's most prized possessions, Valiance, named purposely similar sounding to the murderous lioness. He was trained to be a vicious fighter with his large size, but it was turned against the queen. When he was in his prime, Valorous was beginning to decline. When the time was right, he challenged her. Rumors say they battled for days on end, before Valiance ripped out her jugular. All the lions in the pride bowed to him, trusting him to be their new leader. They put their trust to good use, Valiance taking after Palash.
