Pride Lore

Being raised near the freezing waterfalls was a bitter cubhood... for all the wrong reasons. Holding natural bad karma in a good karma pride, Tālvi wasn't granted the greatest reputation. One day, the king had reached his limit with Tālvi's antics, chasing her from the pride. As winter rolled in, Tālvi knew she would have to find a pride soon.

As she trekked along, she stumbled across Ever. As a lone lioness, being discovered on unknown territory was already a death wish, but to Tālvi's surprise, Ever cautiously agreed to bring Tālvi back to her pride's leader, Kísu. Kísu was intimidating at the best of times, but never heartless. Sympathetic, he agreed to let her stay, teaching Tālvi how to fall in line with his ways of ruling and later gaining each others' mutual respect.

Eventually, it was nearing time for Kísu to retire. The pridelands continued to freeze, and the pride began to worry. Kísu, recognizing Tālvi's growth and newfound strength, entrusted her to lead his pride through the rage of winter. Tālvi was honoured to have her potential seen, promising to ensure the pride's safety in the cold...

...where she upholds that promise to this day.
