Welcome! This account uses a restrictive ruleset inspired by hard mode, but with a different core aim: giving players with a completed project lion the space to enjoy their new stud in a more challenging environment, all the better to formulate lore and ignore the market. Just you, your king, and some friends! Plus an investment of beetles from past adventures, of course.

The rules are as follows:

1. The starting king must be heritageless, though their appearance can be sourced from anywhere. Any heir must be the king's direct descendant or a male groupie.

2. All lions in the pride must be seminatural in appearance. For my purposes, this means keeping to a range of natural colors (browns, reds, golds, blacks, creams), but allowing markings of any shape (ex. rosettes are fine despite their fantastical nature).

3. No buying lions. New lions enter the pride when they are claimed in explore or born to a lioness in the pride. (Exceptions can be made in the cases of male groupies and NCLs for mass breeding).

4. Use only a restricted pool of studs. Rather than use the search function at the crossroads to find studs, use only allied players whose studs comply with rules 1 and 2: i.e. seminatural heritageless kings. For me, this means my options are limited to a handful of my good friends.

5. No inbreeding. However, breeding different incarnations of a heritageless king into the same line is fine -- anything goes as long as the inbreeding indicator doesn't appear anywhere on the offspring's heritage screen.

6. Treat all permanent pride members like queens! A pose for each beauty and a background picked to flatter her. Start with enough resources to make sure you're able to spoil your pride, and treasure each individual.
