The heat was sweltering under the unavoidable sun, the sand hot beneath your paw pads and granules sticking to your fur. Why would anyone ever come this far into the wasteland desert? To find the cause of recent whispers amidst the forsaken lions, ousted by their prides due to their heritage. This place though, tucked far away in a painstakingly large desert, was a sanctuary for lions that had mutated or who's heritage considered "dirty". Understandably, it would be hard to find, if it was even real, housing the unwanteds of the savannah.

In the distance, as the sun finally drew towards setting, its light reflected off something. Was this a mirage? The shine turned out to be quartz embedded in a hole of rock that parted the sand around it. Squeezing down in was a little difficult due to the angle, but once inside the cool cave it expanded and trailed downwards. Crossing the tunnel, it opened up into a large cave, vines clinging to the sides as water dripped and grass grew softening the floor. Glow worms hung all around, lighting up the cave in a gentle blue hue, with other tunnels leading off in different directions. "Welcome," a voice boomed across the cave, as the male lion who only could be the King of this pride strode over, "to The Oasis Sanctuary."
