Pumpkin is a Gen 2 lion and my second king! Here is his lore <33

Pumpkin was born into Refine's pride as a female cub and the only cub in his litter. This made his mother, CashMoney, very nervous of rejection. However, Refine accepted Pumpkin and smothered him and his mother with love, just as he did for all the other lions in his pride. Pumpkin grew up around many other cubs who were born in the same time window as him. He became very close with an adolescent named Coco, who had been chosen as Refine's heir. Pumpkin has always been a bit insecure, as he was weaker than all the other cubs and always lived in fear about what they would think of him no longer identifying as a lioness, and instead a male. Despite this, Coco and the other cubs treated him as if he was born of the same litter, and even went out of their way to help train him and encourage others to use his preferred pronouns.

Although Pumpkin stayed weaker than the others, he felt more confident about himself. He kept training alongside Coco, and even began to get some extra help from Refine, who was happy to do so. One day, while Pumpkin was sunbathing with one of his 'sisters', Lions Remy and Coco came back from Patrol, except Keanu who had gone with them was nowhere to be found, and Remy was carrying a limp Coco on his back. They had been attacked by Blackmaned lions, and the entire pride mourned greatly for Coco and Keanu. Whale, a king from an Ally pride, Came over to help care for the pride and comfort refine, who was the most distraught about it all. Whale was Keanu's father, but there was not enough food to go around in Whale's pride for everyone. Keanu was sent to Refine's pride, where he grew up. Even though Pumpkin wasn't close to Keanu he still greived, but more for his best friend. Refine was there for him through it all.

Refine became stressed about choosing a new heir. he didn't want anyone but Coco. However, he came to realize as Pumpkin was there for him, that this was the cub he wanted. When Refine became too old to lead, Pumpkin took his place. When things got stressful for Pumpkin, refine and CashMoney were always there to lend a helping paw. Refine guided him through the ways of a good and respectable king. Pumpkin wanted to be just like Refine, and just as Coco could have been.
