𝓚𝓲𝓷𝓭𝓻𝓪's Den

Kindra the Smilus Lion was King of the Forest. He and his pride had resided in this lush land for generations, reveling in its abundance of prey. Yet the animal Kendra cherished the most were the wild horses. Every morning, he would watch in awe as they galloped through the forest, their wide manes shimmering in the dawn sunlight.

One morning as he watched the horses, Kindra noticed something odd. A piebald sub-male was standing on the edge of the clearing, silently watching the cubs and foals playing. He stayed still and no one seemed to mind him being there. Intrigued, Kindra slowly walked over to him and when he got closer, he noticed that the sub-male was not alone. A handful of foals, some still with their mothers, stood by the side of the sub-male.

The lion approached the foals cautiously, expecting them to run away in fear. But instead of running, they stayed by the sub-male's side, trusting him. It was then that Kindra realised that this lion was not an enemy, but a guardian. He had taken on the role of protector of the young foals, allowing them the freedom to frolic and play without fear.

Kindra was deeply moved and decided that the sub-male lion should be allowed to stay in his kingdom. The lion was named grell and soon became a cherished member of the pride. His presence provided much comfort and security to the young foals, who no longer feared for their safety when playing and exploring.

Kindra was glad that he had welcomed grell into his kingdom, for he realized that this lion was a true guardian of the horses. He watched with pride as they frolicked and played, content in the knowledge that grell was there to protect them.
