TENEBRlS's Den

IT ALL STARTS one day, or more like one year. An innocent lion, named Tenebris, was born. He was born into the Supernova, the one that used to live in the current scenery you are seeing right now. Just somewhere out of our current galaxy, a white dwarf star (which was much less dwarf and more mega) exploded and wrecked the ozone layer of another planet nearby this star, filling it with radiation, the Supernova claiming it as its own. Immediately from birth, something was wrong. Tenebris had appeared to be cursed by the dark arts! His body was twisted and corrupted, his pelt a deep blackish brown to blackish purple in contrast to the Supernova’s ice-like, pearly cloaks that covered their bodies in a state of glowing divinity.

Some say the collapsing of the white dwarf star got to Tenebris’ mother’s womb and burnt him when it diffused, as to why his coat is ashy and he is covered in patches of black. But nobody really knows.. and that’s why he was feared, and soon—

— Tenebris was banned, sent out down to earth when he turned of age to harvest his own strength, and was now a danger to what they called their Nova. He was flung out in a one-way pod that costed him a few injuries, as to why he wears the skull of a Watusi. As soon as he got to earth, he felt as if he finally had a purpose. He followed his prophecy to a pride where the lionesses and submales were being abused brutally by their male, Ignacio. Ignacio was a tyrant, blinded by the demons after the Harbinger let him enter the portal many, many years ago..

Ignacio was cruel. He was the meanest of them all, with a red back, flaming blue eyes, and a deep crimson mane to compliment his ultimately frightening and biologically impossible look. His poor body was riddled with scars he deserved. And when Tenebris did eventually step into that territory of his, it only fuelled Ignacio’s fire to the point it burned a bright, burning, white.

Tenebris soon found himself within the territory of Prophet Illya’s domain, his walls pristine with silk and linen tapestries on every corner, engraved with his burning symbol; the eye of truth.
The eye, of truth.
Or was that a lie?

Taking to one of four paws, Tenebris ducked down onto his knees, lowering his obscured face in the presence of Illya, of whom stared meaninglessly and yet infinitely into the far distance of something merely immortal.
A shiver slipped down Tenebris’s spine at the time Illya took the moment to speak, his voice squeaky and high, much like that of a child.

“You want my help?” Asked Illya, swaying his veiled head this way and that, blinking behind the burgundy wrappings that obscured his figure.

“That is what I ask of, dear prophet.” Tenebris rasped, his throat impossibly sore from his travels, peering with his singular glowing eye through to Illya, as they stood in his throne room adorned in gold and pleasantries provided to him before his foreseen pilgrimage.
