Mou's Den

A shiver makes its way through your body as you gaze about the area you’re somehow found yourself in. The landscape is beautiful, with a chilly blue sky and the occasional breeze. As you venture further into this habitat, you spot a small clearing surrounded by slender white ash trees tipped with snow. The snow under your paws gives a soft crunch as you step nearer to the center of the clearing.

You hear the crunch of another’s paws in the snow and you spin, finding yourself greeted by a handsome young king, his fur reminiscent of the stars above. His eyes seem to gleam as he takes another step forward, his fur shining. “Greetings, traveler. We are honored to meet you. Welcome to our pride lands. We hope you find it comfortable.” You pause. “We?” You question, observing that you are alone with the young lion. The lion nods, gesturing behind him.

To your surprise, a small pride of lions seems to materialize out of the mist. Despite the mysteriousness of it all, it seems to be a fairly normal pride. Tiny cubs, resembling their father as much as the night sky, frolic about, leaving their mothers struggling to contain them. The sight warms you, despite the cold. The king shakes his mane, bringing your attention back to him. “Please feel free to stay as long as you like. And don’t mind the cubs, they mean no disrespect.”

You start, deciding to explore this land a bit more. You take a few steps, only to see a beautiful rosetted lioness bearing sphinx wings. A snow leopard trails close behind her. Your eyes trace every delicate movement, every swish of her tail. The young king steps forward. “I see you’ve met my wonderful queen.”
