Long ago, before the Painted Glade bloomed red with endless wildflowers, a prophecy spoke of a lion born beneath a rare celestial event: a night when every color of the sky shimmered across the plains. It was said this lion would bring unity, not through fang and claw, but through compassion and clarity. That lion was Snapdragon.
Born under the veil of a prismatic sky, Snapdragon entered the world quietly, his cry soft, his eyes wide with wonder. From the start, it was clear he was no ordinary cub. While his siblings wrestled for dominance, Snapdragon observed. He listened to the breeze, watched the ants carry their burdens, and comforted the smallest among the pride.
As he grew, so did the vibrant colors of his pelt. His fur bloomed like the meadows he wandered, dappled in patterns that seemed too intricate to be of this world. Elders whispered that the ancestors had kissed his coat with stardust. His rosettes a rare mark of divine favor, and his splash-piebald pattern like spilled light on snow.
Despite his breathtaking appearance, Snapdragon remained humble. He walked with the lowliest creatures, shared his meals with the hungry, and was often found resting beneath the same sun-warmed rocks as his pride mates. When neighboring kings sought counsel or conflict, Snapdragon answered with wisdom and stillness, turning enemies into allies with patience and empathy.
And still, he bears no crown, only a woven garland of wild snapdragons placed by cubs at his paws.
