Many decades ago a prideful and vain lion whose name has been scratched from history had a tango with the goddess of Death. He wanted more than any lion could ever accomplish in one lifetime so he went begging to her to give him a never ending life. She looked down on him with amusement in her eyes, she could see through his pitiful performance. She cursed him with blindness by carving out his eyes.Current day his descendant, the current king is no longer blind, but he carries a dark coat, dark markings, and dark eyes. According to the legend every Generation a descendant of the death goddess will come back to haunt the descendant of the vain lion.
